I’ve always loved the fall, and at risk of sounding ‘basic’, it’s really my favorite season. Something is just better about the fall, but I can’t explain it. And here are some of the things I’ll be loving this year. Continue reading “Seven Things I’m Loving This Fall”
I am an out-of-state college student
And I am so lonely. Oh out of state college students, someone should tip their hats to you because it takes guts to leave home, it takes guts to drive for hours just to get to college and know nobody. We should deserve a medal for doing something so scary, for leaving everything that we have ever known when all of our friends might have stayed in the same state we went to high school in.

Pink Lemonade Cupcakes
Pink lemonade is way better that regular lemonade-no, hear me out. Regular lemonade is fine, and I do like it, but making it pink, in my opinion, just makes it more fun. Also, I’m sure that we can agree that cupcakes are better than regular cake(or maybe we can’t, and I’m just a bit odd) so pink lemonade cupcakes sounded absolutely perfect, in theory. This recipe isn’t too hard, especially with the use or a kitchen or hand mixer. Continue reading “Pink Lemonade Cupcakes”
An Open Letter To The Girl I Was When I Started High School
It will happen, but it won’t be the way that you plan for it to happen. You will walk down the hallway and into the gymnasium and you will know that you did it and you won’t spare a thought on the B- you received on your first English paper. 7 Things to Bring on a Long Haul Flight
Long haul flights are really the worst. No matter if you are in business class of economy class, long haul flights are really the worst. They are uncomfortable, and you will always leave looking like death. And you will get bored, and the food will be awful, and I think we all know where I’m going with this. So here is what I would suggest bringing to combat al that. Continue reading “7 Things to Bring on a Long Haul Flight”
Strawberry Lemonade Granita
I find that no Fourth of july celebration is complete without some form of a frozen treat, and my strawberry Lemonade Granita is perfect for adults and kids alike. A granita, an Italian dessert, is similar to a sorbet, but has a bit more of a crystalline texture. It’s been a favorite of mine since I was little, and it seems like it takes a lot of time, but really it’s one of the easiest recipes I know. Continue reading “Strawberry Lemonade Granita”
4 Skincare Tips I Swear By
I started wearing makeup, or at least, being conscious of what it’s purpose was, when I was seven. My mother had placed me in dance classes and figure skating lessons, when I turned five, and I was a competitive figure skater at seven. I would spend saturday mornings lined up with fifteen other girls, waiting for the one mother that did makeup to line my eyes with some pencil I didn’t like, and to put some bright pink lipstick on me that just tasted weird. Like clockwork, every saturday night, when my, my sister, and my mother, had gotten home, my mother would scrub our faces clean with the some makeup wipes, and no matter how tired we were we wouldn’t be allowed to go to bed until every remnant of the day was gone. Hi, Summer
We did it. We reached summer. After snowstorms and rainstorms and exams and college applications, we reached summer. March came and we started counting down the weeks, and then the days, and then we went crazy and counted down the hours before we walked out of our school and never would come back. And then we came back for finals, and then it was done. Finally. Continue reading “Hi, Summer”
